Hello from the prairie wonderland!
Lot’s of interesting things have been happing in Kansas. There are numerous shows that are about to take place (not in Kansas), ebaying and toy-stocking has been going on, normal daily shenanigans necessary for life, AND we’ve been tirelessly skyping and emailing for the book … which is running through the printers as you read! The book is breathtaking. Everyone has put their right (and left) feet forward (without falling) in an effort to bring you the “creme de la creme” of Kuksi books. It makes me so proud. Also, along the way we encountered an opportunity to expand the book, and so the release date has been extended … so it’s highly important that you upgrade your stocking size, as the books will be released in December! http://beinart.org/shop/books-2/kris-kuksi-divination-and-delusion-161.html There are a couple of group shows going on. Right now, there’s the Blab! show at Copro Nason Gallery in Santa Monica, California. So, if you’re ever on your way to Disneyworld ( … in Florida?), and passing through Santa Monica, then make sure you stop by the show and check out the other great artists like Femke Hiemstra, Martin Wittfooth, Marc Burckhardt, Travis Lampe, and many others. The cards were dealt, and I came out in reign! A couple of days ago I shipped my most recent sculpture, The Emperor, off to the Lowbrow Tarot Project in Los Angeles, California at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery. I’m happy to be displaying my artwork with great friends and artists like Laurie Lipton, Chet Zar, Chris Mars, Jessica Joslin, Daniel Martin Diaz, Claudia Drake, and many more. Starting October 1, you’ll be able to indulge in the many creative works of art. http://www.lowbrowtarot.com/index.html The grand finale of 2010 will be taking place in early December at the Scope Art Fair in Miami, Florida. It’s going to get wild. I’ll be teaming up with Tony Curanaj and Ian Francis to rock Miami from the first through the fourth. These guys do amazing work; I’m a big fan. Christening 2011 will be the beinArt Collective Group Exhibition, “Dystopia,” premiering March 19. There will be more to come on that event as it approaches. Peace and Happiness - Kuksi
